Why St. Louis?
Greetings from sunny Naples, Florida. I love Naples. It is one of the prettiest places in Florida. My family and I love to come here and soak up the sun.
As a real estate professional, I love to check out the real estate listings in communities that I visit. Southwest Florida provides lots of interesting listings -- if you have a few million bucks to spend. Properties in the area seem to top out in the high 20 million range. WOW! Who has the money for these palaces?
We are lucky to live where we live. A few weeks back we put together a simple website called WhyStLouis.net. Let me warn you, it isn't fancy. But the content is interesting. Did you know that of the 20 largest metro areas in the US, St. Louis has the 4th lowest cost of living?
Consider this fact from the site: According to the National Association of Home Builders, 84.6 percent of the homes sold in 2005 in the St. Louis metropolitan area were affordable to families earning the area’s median household income.
In St. Louis, we pay prices for real estate that others only can dream about. We live really well compared to the majority of the country.
