Five Great Plants You Can't Kill
After a beautiful weekend like this last one, all I can think about is how long will my plants and yard stay as healthy and beautiful as they are right now. Spring brings the life and beauty back to our yards and plants but summer can bring thier demise without proper treatment. As I was walking around my yard this weekend, I wondered what type of flowers were the most hardy and could withstand the hottest climates while still providing the beauty that we expect. I found a great article that covers this very issue. Here are 5 plants that are very hardy in tough climates.
1. Daylilies or (Hererocallis) -
Daylilies are great in all types of climates. They are very hardy and can be planted in both shade and full sun. They are used for ground cover in many cases but can be planted on hillsides or out in the open by themselves. Daylilies can be divided after growth slows. These plants come in all different types of colors and varieties.

Salvia are among the most hardy of all perennials. They can withstand drought conditions that most plants can't. They will start to bloom in the early spring and will continue all the way throughout the summer and into the late fall. There growth happens at a very fast pace during the summer and will need to be cut back in the late fall. They com in many varieties but most have a purple or blue color to them.
