2007 ends tomorrow and we have closed our final transaction for the year. I have reviewed all of my files and moved them from the "Current Business" cabinet to the "Last Year's Business" cabinet.
We had our best year ever. You've heard over and over that the real estate market stinks. Our business nearly doubled in 2007. Why? We are professionals in an industry filled with "hobby-ists." Everyone has a friend, brother-in-law, plumber, or piano teacher who has a real estate license. They can probably sell your house at a deep discount. But will it sell? Do they know what they are doing?
Over the past three years, I have closed a transaction every 86 hours on average. In other words, I know what I'm doing. Does your Realtor have this kind of experience? Most Realtors don't.
